• Question: will driveless cars be created?

      Yes, i think the first cars that could drive without a driver were made in the 90s. There are already cars in some countries that can drive on the road without a driver. I think in 20-30 years everyone will have driverless cars.

      I think the biggest challenge is going to be the changeover from human driven to robot cars. Us humans can actually be quite unpredictable – I bet you’ve been in a car when another driver has made a mistake or turned the opposite way that your driver was expecting.

      Robots find predicting what a human will do quite tricky. So making a robot car that can avoid both other robot cars AND human driven cars will be very complicated. If we could switch overnight to 100% robotic cars that would actually make it a lot easier as robots are very predictable so we can tell them exactly what they need to do.
