I would like to think that having the NAO robot as an assistant to a disable person was quite a useful thing. Having a carer with you all the time is a bit difficult, so knowing that you have a robot that can do certain things for you and that “has your back” is quite useful.

I guess, the most helpful thing for now would be helping architecture students with their exhibition made with smart materials and Arduinos (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arduino). Because my work is mostly testing, my publications will soon take the role of the most important things to make and share with the world 🙂

At school I made a coffee table that was also a clock out of an old F1 wheel and some glass. The clock was made out of big gears that connected to a metal clock face in the centre of the wheel.

I still have it in my house over 10 years later, so I recon it’s probably the thing I’ve made that I’ve used the most. It looks cool and still tells the time correctly too 🙂

useful? hmmm most of the things I build are more for fun haha!

Just now I’m building robots that will be able to go into buildings and search them for people.

So if you let me cheat and use an example that I am still building, then the robots I am building now will hopefully one day be able to help us save lives 🙂
