  Probably a sharpened stick. The ability to create fire and sharpen stone would be the other major technologies of the early era.

  I would have to agree with Dmitry about a sharpened stick.
  
  But if we can think of technology that is less advanced, I would have to say nest building.
  Many animals out there are able to build their homes or nests. I like to study how animals build nests in large groups, like bees or ants, and to figure out if we can build robots to build homes for humans in a similar way 🙂

  I would say that the first technology was the Oldowan Stone Tools, which were used to butcher dead animals. This is actually the oldest stone industry, dating 2.5 million years ago, and it has been described by archaeologists as being the first evidence of cultural behaviour.
