I think the best thing I’ve done was starting a robotic educational program. I absolutely love visiting schools and teaching students how to program and interact with the robots.

I started this program less than a year ago, and I already visited over 20 schools.

That would probably be the work with architecture students, who came up with an exhibition using computers and smart materials.

They made an Alice in the Wonderland-themed maze, where things would move on their own, as people approached, the lights would go on and off, and curtains would rise and fall without anyone pulling anything.

It was an interesting, unconventional and very creative engineering project.

For me, it was encouraging my younger sister to become an engineer. There aren’t enough women studying engineering subjects and I’d like to be a role model for other women to be engineers.

If I could inspire just one girl (who isn’t in my immediate family) to build robots I will be very happy to have made a difference.
