• Question: How do the principles of science and mathematics apply to your everyday tasks?

      Oh very good question.

      well the great thing about writing software is that the main thing that is containing you is your imagination.

      But robots are just software that has a physical form, so they have to take physics and the laws of physics into consideration, otherwise they fall over!

      But even simple things, like wifi and bluetooth which robots use to speak to each other, are built upon our understanding of physics and use maths to solve clever problems.

      I would say that maths and physics inflence everything that I do as an engineer, although sometimes it’s more subtle that sitting there doing some equations.

      I barely every sit and do maths in the way you do at school, I use it to guide me rather that sitting and solving lots of problems on a sheet of paper.
